Characterizing Flexible EMI Absorbers and Application to Wireless Self-Interference

Flexible ferrite absorber sheets can be helpful in reducing radiated fields from PC boards. This can help with many RF, wireless and IoT product performance. Unfortunately, most manufacturers provide only permeability curves, rather than absorption or attenuation curves. I’ll describe a simple method for determining this missing data and end with a couple actual case studies.
